EXHIBITION

The BFH Gala 2025 was created by Edith Williams, Self-Made School and Experience LLC, founded in November 2024.

Due to high demand, our beloved gala is embarking on a bigger mission which meant a change in acronym. What was once known as "Beauty, Fashion and Hair" has now become "Built From Home".

The name reflects our mission accurately: recognising creativity that is built from passion, community, and self-made beginnings often starting at home, without traditional access to resources or networks.

Built From Home culminates in an annual gala-style awards showcase, but its impact extends far beyond one night. It is a platform for creative development, recognition, awareness, cultural storytelling, and economic empowerment.

The name Built From Home is intentional. It speaks to creatives who start with limited resources, building skills in bedrooms, kitchens, shared spaces, and community studios. It reframes those beginnings not as limitations, but as foundations.
